Amoopi Bay Hotel – Karpathos, Greece

Set on an elevated site overlooking the iconic bays of Amoopi, this 82-room hotel complex is designed as a hillside village, composed of five distinct buildings immersed in Mediterranean landscaping. Inspired by traditional island architecture, the whitewashed forms, stone-paved paths, and flowering bougainvillaea create a setting that feels both timeless and inviting.

The buildings are carefully arranged to follow the natural contours of the terrain, optimizing views of the sea while offering privacy to each unit. Arched openings, pergolas, and shaded terraces add depth and rhythm to the facades, while natural materials such as local stone and timber blend the architecture with the surrounding landscape.

The pool area, located at the edge of the site, serves as a central gathering point and frames a dramatic view of the coastline. The design promotes an open and relaxed experience of island life, celebrating Greek hospitality through scale, proportion, and the seamless integration of architecture with nature.
