Private Residence

"A 280 sq.m. residence in Kasos, designed with local dry stone, white plaster, and blue-framed openings. The house is carefully integrated into the landscape, offering unobstructed Aegean views while promoting sustainability and architectural harmony with the island’s character"

Private Residence - Kasos Island, Greece

Located on the southern Aegean island of Kasos, this 280 sq.m. residence is designed to blend seamlessly with its natural setting. The composition combines local dry stone, white plaster volumes, and bold blue window frames, echoing the architectural language of the Dodecanese with a contemporary twist.

The house is positioned to frame expansive sea views while adapting carefully to the terrain. Climate, orientation, and cultural context guided every design choice, resulting in a structure that is both functional and environmentally conscious. By using natural materials and low-impact construction techniques, the design minimizes its footprint while enhancing the experience of place.

Rooted in the belief that architecture should foster harmony between people and landscape, this project celebrates the raw beauty of Kasos through a modern yet timeless lens.
