A contemporary private residence perched on the rocky hills of Karpathos, overlooking the Aegean Sea. The architectural design emphasizes clean volumes, whitewashed surfaces, and direct integration with the surrounding dry landscape. Large outdoor terraces, a strategic elevation of the main living areas, and panoramic openings frame the sea view while maintaining privacy. The material palette is minimal, with stone base walls echoing the natural terrain and white cubic forms referencing Cycladic clarity.
Designed to function both as a summer retreat and year-round dwelling, the residence is organized in two main levels: the upper floor hosts all primary living and entertaining spaces, while the lower level accommodates guest areas and auxiliary uses. The spatial arrangement promotes indoor-outdoor living, with each zone connected to the surrounding courtyards and terraces.
The architectural expression balances simplicity and monumentality, responding both to the exposed topography and the Mediterranean light.
