Interior Design Project – Karpathos, Greece

Located on the island of Karpathos, this interior design explores a contemporary hospitality experience shaped by natural materials, warm light, and timeless simplicity. The concept was developed to create interiors that evoke calmness and comfort while maintaining a strong connection with the surrounding Mediterranean landscape.

Inspired by the earthy colors and textures of the island, the design combines soft shades of sand, beige, off-white, and warm brown with authentic materials such as natural stone, oak wood, linen, rattan, and textured fabrics. Every element was carefully selected to create a refined yet welcoming atmosphere where materiality becomes the main architectural expression.

Curved forms define the identity of the interiors. Custom-designed beds, sculptural sofas, freestanding bathtubs, and organically shaped furniture soften the geometry of the spaces, creating fluid environments that encourage relaxation and well-being. Open layouts and carefully framed views strengthen the relationship between the interior and the surrounding landscape.

Natural daylight plays a central role throughout the project, while a carefully designed lighting strategy enhances the atmosphere during the evening. Warm indirect lighting, suspended fixtures, and subtle architectural illumination emphasize textures, create depth, and reinforce the calm character of the interiors.

Designed for contemporary boutique hospitality, this proposal combines Mediterranean simplicity with refined craftsmanship, creating spaces that offer comfort, authenticity, and a timeless living experience inspired by the unique character of Karpathos Island.
